How the crossword solver works
The Crossword Solver helps you search for words when you know some letters but still have blank spaces. Enter the full answer pattern, using a question mark or asterisk for each unknown letter. For example, c?r? searches for four-letter words that start with C and have R in the third position.
This is useful when crossing answers have given you a few confirmed letters, but the clue still has several possible meanings. The tool gives you a shortlist of matching words so you can compare each option with the clue wording, tense, theme, and number of spaces in the puzzle.
Crossword solving tips
Before searching, count the boxes carefully and include one placeholder for every blank square. Crossword clues can use abbreviations, puns, foreign words, and alternate definitions, so a matching word still needs to make sense in the clue. If the results do not fit, recheck the crossing letters and try again with corrected positions.
